What is Webbi's Workbench?
It is a private cleanup bench for things you copy and paste. Drop in a messy link, text, list, or filename. Webbi identifies what it is, suggests safe cleanup choices, and shows the result before you copy it.
How to use it

What can it clean?
- Tracking added to shared links
- Messy spacing and pasted text
- Repeated or blank list entries
- Email addresses, phone numbers, and IP addresses
- Hidden or suspicious text characters
- Unsafe or awkward filenames
- Small .txt, .md, .csv, .json, and .log files
- JSON formatting, minifying, and validation
What does “private” mean here?
The content you paste is processed inside your browser. It is not uploaded, saved to an account, or stored in a database.
The app's own files are cached on your device so the Workbench can keep working offline. Your pasted content is not included in that cache.
Opening a text file reads it directly in your browser and places its contents on the bench. The file is not uploaded.
If a paste looks like a password, private key, or access token, Workbench stops before offering cleanup actions. Clear it, then rotate or revoke it if it may be real.
Why doesn't it remove everything?
Workbench is intentionally careful. Some parts of a link control the page, product, language, search, timestamp, or checkout.
If Webbi cannot prove something is disposable, it keeps it and tells you to check the result before sharing.
What are quick profiles?
Quick profiles prepare ordinary text for a destination. Email uses plain keyboard punctuation. WordPress keeps smart punctuation. Inspect only shows an unchanged copy.
Profiles clean spacing and hidden characters, but they do not remove personal information. Choose Redact personal info separately when you need it.
How is JSON handled?
Valid JSON can be formatted for reading or minified for compact copying. Workbench changes only layout spacing, preserving numbers and escaped text exactly as written.
JSON that cannot be validated is left unchanged. List cleanup and text profiles are not offered for JSON.
A quick example
You paste: a shopping or newsletter link with tracking attached.
Webbi suggests: Clean link.
You receive: the same useful destination, with known tracking removed and a report explaining the change.
Use it on your phone
Workbench works in modern mobile browsers and can be added to your home screen like an app.
- iPhone or iPad: open the browser's Share menu, then choose Add to Home Screen.
- Android: open the browser menu, then choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Open Workbench online once so its app files can be saved for offline use.
Menu wording varies slightly by browser. Your pasted content still stays on your device.
